Goodbye, Fomapan 400

I've shot a loads of Fomapan film over the past few years since it remained the cheapest on the market at around 95czk ($4.50) a roll. The quality assurance out the factory doors however seem to still be low resulting in scratched negatives every once in a while.
I've used my friend's Zeiss Ikon 6x6 to shoot these, and I think they turned out somewhat fine. The camera handled quite well and it was fun to shoot it, but it didn't leave a deep impression on me.
Unfortunately, the roll of 120 was scratched from one end to the other. This may look appealing if you're going for a retro look I suppose, but it makes it an unreliable film stock for me.
Going forwards I'll likely to switch to Illford's Pan 400 film. Currently it's selling for about 145czk ($6.80) a roll. Form what I've read about it, it seems to be similar to Foma 400, but it is reliable in regards to the scratches.
